Involves primarily Arabs and Jews, Palestinians and Israelis who live in Israel, the West Bank, and Gaza. Many initiatives take place abroad but are included here only if programs have significant follow up at home
Pursues nonviolent means of addressing injustices of occupation and conflict, and refrains from rhetoric that vilifies one side without turning away from inequality
Shows willingness to understand the power imbalances between participants and address them in part through non-exclusionary language (Arabic and Hebrew translations or neutral language), and equitable leadership among Israelis and Palestinians
Has a public media presence in print or web, so does not “out” individuals or groups
Is an ally: a Palestinian or Israeli whose work supports a shared future
